Why won t YouTube app work over 480p?
My YouTube app on my Samsung won t let me select a quality higher than 480p I can choose 720 and 1080 in other apps and it works but why not YouTube? Is there somthing in settings to change or what? Any help thanks!

If your device is old or simply has a low resolution display, your device may not support higher than 480p. If the youtube app works out your max resolution is 480p it wont bother giving you to option to display higher resolutions as it would not make a difference, this saves unnecessarily high loading times, and saves data. Other apps just dont bother checking.

That seems like a glitch. Uninstall and reinstall, turn your phone off and back on. That might work. Some videos also were not made in 720p or above.
