Why is "bullying" such a big deal now? In all my years in education, the teachers and principals always took care of it.?

Bullying,due to all the media sites has become even more dangerous today then it has ever been in the past since many times it is difficult to detect until it is too late.. Students have committed suicide due to the bullying they have faced or run away or refused to go to school. It is not something to be ignored , See something,say something, and do something to prevent it at your school.

My husband was bullied and his high school gym instructor watched as the football team chased his car after he gave them the finger. He was gay and these guys used to grab him and fondle his testicles before he decided he was gay. He has never gotten over it. He has been on antidepressants and treated for PTSD. Too late to sue.

the teachers and principles cant take care of it unless it is reported to them and it almost never is no one being bullied wants to go tell a teacher for it to get worse so now they are targeting the people that are actually doing the bullying before they even do it
