1) Code Geass: Pretty surprised you've not watched this given its popularity. Similar to Guilty Crown, but much, MUCH better.
2) Charlotte: One of my faves. It's a really creative tearjerker.
3) Clannad (AS): The first season is crap but it picks up in the After Story. Just wait for it.... with tissues. (Also it has the best music of all animes I have seen)
4) Elfen Lied: Lots of violence and gore. Certainly not for kids. Some scenes might be disturbing.
5) Monster: The animations are crappy but the the story is unbelievably intriguing. You love Death Note, you love this.
