When the people talk of a "Higher self" do they literally believe there is another version of them in another dimension?

    Maybe. How else could an afterlife be possible? Information would have to be stored both in the brain and non-locally. When you die, you'd have a new body, complete with memories.

    There is. Its not so much as a dimension as it is membranes that separate potentials from actuals. Who knows you may be a higher self of me in another "dimension." I implied the cosmic secret there.
