Could not care then, watching millionaries give each other little gold coloured statues has never been my thing, cannot understand why would anyone outside the film industry want to see it? Why don't they all just go into a little room, hand each other the statues, have a nice drink and all go home, and spare us.

It was a publicity stunt. there was a similar 'blunder' in the 2015 Miss Universe (late 2015, little over a year ago).
Do you really think that having seen that error, they wouldn't have guarded against it? I also think the Miss Universe error was a stunt as well.
I think some people saw it coming, they were even asked what they would do if such an error was made, and they pretended to say a slick correction procedure was in place. No it wasn't, it was all planned!

NOT being interested in the MEANINGLESS YAWN "let's pat our third rate output on the back yet again" ceremony you will have to enlighten those who don't give a toss!
All those MILLIONS spent on YAWN marketing, to flog TIRED, TRITE, movies.
Rupert Murdoch was going to have a free movie channel. Oops, things didn't work out that way. Not a shame.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-39107... "With the current political atmosphere in the United States, many Oscar voters may have thought that this was a time to honour a film that felt like a particularly important piece of work. Excellent as La La Land is, a win for the singing, dancing love letter to Los Angeles may have felt too frothy and self congratulatory."
So it was ENTERTAINING, for a change! And as usual SPINELESS.

From the descriptions of the winning movie, I don't think I want to see it. La La Land might be better after all.
But I'm not sure I want to see it either.
Stupid Oscars.

While I think the Oscar night snafu was unprofessional and embarrassing for the organization, I am already tired of hearing about it. I especially feel bad for the cast and crew of La La Land, with the accident getting their hopes up, but having it continually pop up on every newsfeed is annoying and likely pours salt in their wounds. News like this can sometimes be so out of proportion with its importance.
