Why do Black Americans look SO different compared to Black Africans?

Because African Americans aren't fully African. During slavery many African slaves were raped or had sex with Europeans resulting in mixed children. Today the average African American has 80 - 85% African DNA with the rest of it being European.

Because you're SO exaggerating.

Because lot of black Americans originate from the Carribean or Jamaica, which isn't in Africa.

We don't look that different. People over exaggerate our differences.

AA's like Oprah, Don Cheadle, Gabrielle Union, Brandy, Morgan Freeman, Whoopie Goldberg, Teyana Taylor, Morris Chestnut, Shaquille O'Neal or me would fit in anywhere in West Africa. Yes there are minor differences like facial structure, hair type, skin texture and such but no one would be able to pick them out in a group of Nigerians.

People like Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Quincy Combs, Vanessa Williams, Nicole Ari Parker, Tyra Banks or Rochelle Aytes then we could talk. But then again, all of these people would fit perfectly in Cabo Verde Island.
