What is the ASVAB requirments for Air Force TACP?
Hello. I am 17, and I just a couple days ago started talking to the Air Force recruiter. I am dead set on doing TACP. I have started my applicant case file packet, and hope to start processing ASAP, so I can go to basci next summer. I don't care how hard physically it is. I am in the best shape of my life personally. I run marathons, and am also strong, especially when it comes to calisthenics. I know the physical standards, and will not ask about those, because if I start questioning that, I have already failed. What I want to know is the ASVAB score requirement. I'm very good in any of the Language sections. I scored nearly perfect on them, but the General math and the Arithmetic reasoning section I literally know nothing on. I have a math tutor, and we have been going over it, but it still seems to make no sense. I am good in basically everything else though. What is the score needed for TACP?

Huh...seems like just yesterday you were going in the Army split option program as an 11b...
Wait a minute it WAS yesterday...does the Air Force Recruiter you are working with know that you will be busy @ Army Basic this summer if he/she wants to get hold of you?
I am set to go this summer under the split option program for 11b. I have a few questions. Firstly, I know that I will only be going 10 weeks for Basic this summer. Will I just leave with my family after graduation, or will I have to fly home separately? Also, what exactly will I be doing next year with my unit if I have not completed infantry training? Will I be doing everything they do, or will I have to sit and watch? I am doing the split option because I aspire to be an infantry officer, and will be attending Army ROTC at the same time. Lastly, when I get to my guard unit, how do they decide if you are a Machine Gunner or Rifleman? Is it based on what is open?

and what happens when you are found otherwise not qualified, or it is not offered to you? the AF as general rule does not let you reserve a specific school.
