I never understood Order 66. How did Palpitine persuade all the clones to kill the jedi?

The order was part of their genetic and brain programming. They were genetically modified people secretly designed to be loyal to the chancelor.

The clones worked for the government. Its leader, Chancellor Palpatine accused the Jedi Order of treason, claiming they sought to assassinate him and to take over the government. As a result, he ordered their destruction. The clones had no option but to obey the lawful directive of the Chancellor. It was not their place to question orders from their leadership, only to carry them out. The clones participated in the implementation of Order 66. As we saw in "Revenge of the Sith", Anakin-Darth Vader lead a party of clones to destroy the Youngings and others. They had the weight of the law behind their actions.
