What kind of drag radial/tire should I get?

I have an SRT-4 that will have between 550 and 575 horsepower and I'd say around 500lbs of torque.. I won't take it to the drag strip at all, I'll mainly only drive it on nice days and will only street race. I obviously want a tire that will ride good on the road but a tire that will allow me to keep good traction in a street race. thank you!

Road racing became more than a misdemeanor offense back in the '80s.

    (don't ask how I know)

A front wheel drive 4 banger?

    Thanks for the laugh!

Sorry; I refuse to counsel street racers because I hold them beneath contempt.

    Sorry, keep dreaming.

There isn't a road tire that will magically make 500+ hp controllable in a front wheel drive compact car.

My Toyota makes about 275, and that's about all you want in a small FWD road car, Toyota Australia sold the same engine in a Aurion, with a supercharger and 325 hp. But it was never a really "good" car,

you should probably cancel this idea. it doesnt matter what kind of tires you get, its still a front wheel drive car. whether you had 300 horsepower or 30000 horsepower, you won't be able to accelerate off the line at full power.

if i was you id wait until I had a car with rear wheel drive before worrying about mods. front wheel drive cars are not made to be that powerful, since they simply won't have the traction needed to use the power.
