Are people really this stupid?

So when I got my phone I was looking at all the safety warnings in the little booklet in the box. One of them said "do not place your phone in a running microwave oven as this will cause the battery to explode". Are people really stupid enough to try that?

    Most owner's manuals include a list of many ways in which you must be careful not to kill or injure yourself in multiple languages with very little useful information on how the damn thing works!

    yes, people are that stupid.

    Fortunately for us, we have YouTube. Many generations before us wasted all that stupidity with nobody watching, but now we all get to bask in the glory of other people's stupidity

    Yes they are. Namely those idiots that have dropped their phone into water and fondly imagine a microwave will dry it out!
