Had my 2006 Malibu in May 2016 because of shimmy & pull. All rotors & pads replaced. Same issue. Is it a sticky calilper or wheel bearing?

Thank you all. My calipers were frozen on both front tires. To the point that one side was almost blue. I needed to replace both along with rotors. I replaced hoses for safety sake. Didn't you feel heat? Yes. I did and I told you about it in May.. Now it is a Wisconsin winter and no ...walking by it in -30 degree weather in long underwear, I guess I missed it. I guess my suggestion would be, if you have a brake job on an older vehicle, have them check the calipers. How much? Quoted at $1280 actual $875. That is how they work. Thank you all for answering.

You may have a bad belt in a tire. If the pull and shimmy get worse as you drive and heat up the tires That's what I'd expect the problem to be. Swap the tires from one side to the other to see if the pull changes direction.

Could be either. Could be both. Could be something else. You need to have the suspension checked. Could be out of alignment; could be worn bushings or ball joints.

What gives ? ? ? I've given GEO thumbs up (second thumbs up) and it keeps going away ! ? ! ?

IN keeping with GEO's answer, I'd go to Les Schwab for a free inspection. They've always done me right.

[edit] Just remembered a friends truck. When he stepped on the gas he immediately had to steer to the right. When he stepped on the brakes he immediately had to steer to the left. Why? The truck (rear wheel drive) rear axle had completely worn out bushings and the axle would slide forward and backward, depending on what he was doing. There was also a loud clank. Trust me, this guy is highly mechanically inclined; there's NOTHING he can't screw up. Cars shutter when he gets close to them. This year alone I've had his car in my garage (my home garage is heated) at least six times. Mostly for coolant leaks, but also for changing thermostats and temp sensors and an issue with the starter. He thinks his car is great, but I told him he's going to be needing a new battery. He didn't believe me. A week later he couldn't start the car because of a dead battery. And yes, we ( I ) checked the alternator. I've also told him he's going to be replacing the fuel pump soon. "Why?" he asked. "The car runs great!" - um, yeah, WHEN it runs. But you can hear the fuel pump turn on from several yards away. Noisy fuel pump means it's on its way out. So I'm waiting for that call next. I'd LIKE to think it will not happen before summer, but that's kind of stretching it. But who knows?! It might last the whole year. Yeah, and I'm going to win the lottery.
