Now that the U.S is going to pass its lead in science and technology to the EU and Asia, do you foresee a mass exodus of young U.S. talent?
Ah, I don't think I worded my question very well...by young U.S. talent I meant students studying here, regardless of citizen status. We do know, for instance, that about 50% of our current PhD candidates in the sciences are immigrants.

Science is understandable since Scientist's in America just found out Global Warming is'nt natural, but just leave this field to us experts that have been turning it off since 2012. Man from earth made Climate change means a dead planet. Mike

There have always been many more opportunities to learn science and to work in science than US students can use. The US attracts tens of thousands of foreign students every year, and the recent NY Times piece suggesting a major decline in that number was absolutely phony; all they "had" was that 39% of schools were reporting a decline in foreign students, while 35% of schools were reporting an increase ... so basically no change in either direction.
However, if you'd like to move to the EU or Asia, you'll have to compete with students who actually worked hard in high school.

Every 4 years, I hear a lot of people say they're moving to Canada. Then they realize what a nightmare attaining citizenship in another nation is. It'll probably be easier to just elect a president who cares about science next election.
