    Well...I think I get your meaning, but the wording is not precise.

    I think you're talking about parallel lines on a sphere, both horizontal and vertical lines

    ...as opposed to non-parallel vertical lines that meet at the "poles" of the sphere.

    I don't know of any special name for this grid (which doesn't mean that there is none).

    I suppose you could just describe it as a parallel line grid.

    I drew it but was wondering if this kind of grid has a name, with only horizontal & vetical latitude circles with no longtitude circles
