Happy about violent murders? Sorry, but it does come off as an ignorant question. You seem to forget or ignore, those cameramen/women have a responsibility to document or record in order to report. Some of us don't want to view images of violent murders and we have the option not to read or view graphic images or detailed gruesome, stomach-turning descriptions.
Unless violent murders are acknowledged, documented/recorded and reported, it goes as non-existent in the annals of criminal justice (eg: undiscovered murder victims) and cannot be properly investigated for criminal indictment(s) and prosecution.
Just as morgue and forensics technicians/personnel have a duty to perform, even cops that must witness the results of violent murders, to document and report findings. Consider it a necessary evil; it takes a particular type of intestinal fortitude to do this kind of work.

a) No, as "martin" stated, most TV cameramen are pais a wage/salary no matter what stories they cover and how violent that story may be.
b) ONLY freelance TV cameramen are paid by the story and it does not matter how bad the "murder" is, they are paid the same for the story. The only extra money a freelancer may obtain is when the story takes more than a set number of hours to cover (say 4 hours) then it becomes "overtime". Also, of the story is further away outside a set limit then the cameraman is paid "petrol money" per mile/km..
c) A freelance cameraman may want more stories, therefore more earnings, but the stories may not necessarily need to be murders.

Just goes to show the depraved nature of the audience.
That's why some youtube videos get a huge number of hits when they show real-life violence.
It's all about ratings for media companies...

No. Most people on news teams get paid on salary no matter how many murders occur.
