87 Jeep 4.0 engine swap, to a jeep 97 4.0? Which computer should I stick with?

Can I put my 97 alternator, and my 97 intake/exhaust on this, they line-up perfectly...also, my distributor from my 97 fits perfectly, would the computer tell the difference?

You need the computer for the '97. The '87 is a renix motor and you don't want that. Read up on it in your spare time. If you swap the intake and exhaust manifolds from a '97, you'll remove the renix system but you'll need the wiring harness from the '97 as well.
