It's super easy. I do it all the time. But a lot of people think they are right all the time and that everyone who thinks different is stupid. Why is that?

Some people want to only hang around people of similar points of view because it makes them feel validated with their own thoughts.

People can be ignorant and often can't see things from any other perspective than their own. It's really quite sad.

Shows lack of conviction in their beliefs if you ask me. You can have a civil conversation with someone you have nothing in common with and maybe learn something too, given that both parties play nice.
