Universal health care. If the US had that, we'd have awful teeth too. Their medical and dental in the UK is atrocious, as any care would be that has no incentive to improve. No profit motives for the doctors and dentists.

No fluoride in the drinking water, for a long time. Now they add it and the old stereotype about bad teeth is no longer relevant. Problem solved.
