Is it legal in NJ for a chiro who is not licensed in a 2nd modality to hire a practitioner of the 2nd as in independent practitioner?

Update:

hire him as an independent contractor, I meant.

after consulting with his attorney, I assume he'd just rent space to the 2nd practitioner.

Your question is a but vague. Let me put it this way...I am a chiropractor. In my state chiros can practice acupuncture as long as they are licensed to do so. I am not. I have opened space in my practice for an IC to use a room to practice acupuncture. My business and her business have an agreement for financial compensation in place. This is perfectly legal. Each state has their own laws. You can call the New Jersey board of examiners and ask specific questions and they will be best positioned to tell you the law.
