If you have no instructional booklet........couldn't you pull one up on line?

Or as another suggested go to a big fabric place to inquire.......good luck and have fun.

go to the fabric shops and ask if there is someone that will teach you how to operate your machine and give you some lessons on how to sew those things that you want ...

it takes practice first you need to make sure you are threading it right just practice. I love just trying out all the different attachments and feet. I sew on an old treadle sewing machine.

You aren't going to do a perfect job at first, so get that idea out of your head. Everyone who sews makes mistakes. Anyone who does anything other than staying in bed makes mistakes, and doing that is a mistake anyway.

The thing is to learn from your mistakes. Learn how to fix them, learn which ones can't be fixed, and learn how not to make them again.

Start simple with things like pillowcases and place mats, read the instructions, watch videos. Think about what you are doing.

Just start... If you let the feeling of screwing up stop you from starting then you've already failed. Everything comes with practice and no one is perfect starting off. Even if you have big projects in mind, start small and get used to sewing. Make simple little square pouches to start with. Get a feel for the machine and how to best make the stitches you want to make. Practice with different stitches to see what they do. Try different shapes, add elastic, pull strings, zippers... Work your way up and once you get to that project you have in mind, you'll have the experience to do it justice. But don't let the fear of screwing up stop you from doing what you want to do. I have my own sewing machine and I've completed a few projects already. And admittedly they don't look as great as I envisioned. But I learned what I should try next time and new ideas on what I could try next. So I do know the feeling you have. Let inspiration guide you...

    Start small

    Cushions

    Table mats

Learn to sew in a straight line

No such thing as perfect when sewing -- always learning
