Which Disney park should I hit first?

Oh okay my entire family and I going to Florida again this Christmas but instead of going to universal studios we going to Disney world. We are looking for houses to rent in kissimmee fl instead of Davenport so we can be closer to the parks. When I mean my entire family I literally mean my family. My grandparents are thinking about inviting everyone and my mom was thinking about inviting her sister and her family. Yeah I got big family. Anyway I m literally so excited to going to Disney world because I love Disney. I haven t been to disney since I was little so I have no idea which one to go to first. Should I do magic kingdom or Epcot first and then go to Pandora (avatar) at Animal Kingdom? What about the water park and Hollywood studios? Advice please?

We like to visit Magic Kingdom first. We actually try to do it first and last on our trips, but it doesn't always work out that way. All of the parks are worth a visit if you have the time - give yourself a full day (at least) at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. With Avatar opening, Animal Kingdom might now be closer to a full-day park as well. Hollywood Studios has a lot of areas closed, but still has some fun rides and cool shows, so I still think it's worth visiting. The water parks are fun. Usually only one is open at a time in the winter months; you can check the park calendar on the Disney website to see which one is open then. I wouldn't buy tickets to the water park in advance though; I'd wait and play it by ear, in case it's too cold. We like to visit Disney Springs in the evening, often after a shorter day at one of the parks.

Be aware that the week of Christmas is the absolute busiest time at Disney. It's not uncommon for some parks (Magic Kingdom especially) to reach capacity and refuse entry to guests; this happens as early as noon on really busy days (Christmas Day and New Year's Day). Book yourself some Fast Passes in advance (which means you need to get your tickets in advance), and be prepared to have some long lines otherwise.

You need to go on DIsney web site or www.allears.net to see if the water parks will be open in December. It could be too cold to do this.

If you have time to visit all four parks, it really doesn't matter which you start with. Most people hit Magic Kingdom first.

Check out times of the parks. Animal Kingdom tends to close earlier than the other parks. If you have a park hopper, you can go to AK first and then to MK, HS or EPCOT later in the day

Start with MK, animal and then Epcot. Hollywood can be missed if you are time contained as its own half a park at the moment. But MK, animal and Epcot are a must!
