    Precious metals do not pay interest. Those ingots don't do anything but sit where you keep them. To make any money at all, you have to sell for more than what you paid.

    Silver (along with other 'precious' metals) has been steadily losing value, adjusted for inflation, because we keep mining more of it to meet the demand generated by e-mail marketing....
