成語"四海為家"，為什麼以"四"開頭?

一般看法"四"是不吉祥的數字，為什麼以"四"開頭?

寫作文的時候，可以寫"三海為家"嗎？

    四海，古代認為中國四周環海，以四海比喻四方，泛指全國各處。四方指東、西、南、北，八方再加上東北、東南、西北、西南。

    可能跟四面八方有關係。如四海之內皆兄弟。應該再加五洲之上皆姐妹。這樣男女才平等。
