How do I reply when people say my favorite color isn't a color.?

I say black and get the same answer every time... It's annoying. ''But black isn't a color''.

    Technically they are correct. Black and white are not colours, they are the beginning and end of the spectrum of colours....all colours are based on their reflection against black or white.

    I have certainly always regarded black as been a colour,why not ?

    Don't say anything to them as you would not be able to change their mind.
