Owner of my leased horse is leaving barn...I want to follow her but?

I have been at my current barn for 9 years, had and sold my horse, and now currently leasing a wonderful horse. However the owner doesn't agree with the BO about various things and has decided to move the horse. If I stayed, there are no horses to lease (not enough for extra rides) so I'm thinking of going with her. I'm extremely loyal, so no idea how to break it to my BO...

Approach it positively. A barn owner should understand how to please her clients and keep them. Unfortunately she does not have other available horse for you to lease and that you don't want to just take one lesson a week (or whatever the opposing situation might be). Maybe talking to her she could find more time in another horse's schedule but doesn't know how serious you are. Most places want to retain clients so losing you would not be productive from a business standpoint. If this horse is leaving that means there will be an open stall - maybe she is thinking about bringing in a new horse? Communicate first and keep the lines of communication open. You never know what her next plan might be. If she isn't going to have a new horse available for lease, then she needs to be understanding of your goals and know that she cannot fulfill them. A good manager (and friend) will understand that. Keep in touch, take an occasional lesson from them or stop by to chat still and stay on good terms. You might come back if a new situation arises.

just tell her that you no longer have a horse to ride and therefore, it's useless for you to stay at that barn. she should understand.

Tell your barn owner you'd like to stay but have no horse. can she help? Hope to see you at shows, around whatever I love it at your place.

Heres my email lets keep in touch and do so for christmas birthdays whatever is appropriate.

    Just tell her.

She knows the horse you lease is going elsewhere whatever would lead her to think you are staying? And why would you?
