Because of His Son Ham, who was the father of Canaan. a curse falls not only on one person but on his whole family line, not Only was Canaan cursed but so where his kids, his grandkids, and so on, and the curse remains until someone breaks it, and you break it by changing your evil ways and turning back to God.

Since where on the topic, Have you wonder why in the bible God curses to the 3 rd and 4th generation, but blesses to 1000 generations?,

Interesting why only to 3rd and 4th? It is because there is no 5th generation, after the 4th generation that family line dies out,

    If you read the passage

you'll see that Noah was intent on punishing Canaan's father (Ham)

and Noah did this by prophesying good things for his sons Shem and Japheth and bad things for Canaan.

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genes...

In other words: Noah was only prophesying what WAS going to come true

and perhaps the most punishing thing he could prophesy - the most awful thing **that really would one day happen** - did not happen to Ham but (instead) happened to Canaan and his descendants.

    In other words

(and please note that this is only my opinion)

perhaps Noah did not actually call down a curse upon Canaan

but (instead) Noah merely prophesied the bad things that would happen to Canaan (more accurately: his descendants) as a punishment for Ham

He must have been making fun of him and he had been though a lot. He saw the death of a whole earth full of people. But none of Canan children were cursed and he did it in a moment of anger. He was drunk and exposed and made fun of. But I don't think he really meant it.

Because Ham "knew" Noah's nakedness when Noah was passed out drunk. Canaan was Ham's son. In other words, a messed up just-so story for different skin colors.

Canaan, not Canan. Noah cursed him because he stepped on Noah's toe and it hurt like hell.
