Why do people lose faith in God that need it? I have seen it time and again. So why?
I have noticed it a lot recently. It seems people loose faith that need God and Jesus Christ in their lives. Why is that? I don't understand why would you give that connection up? You need God like bread and water, so why give it up?

I have asked many why they had left GOD? Most had very lazy reasons, claiming as Atheists they could be lazy or Sin If they wanted.
There are a few that leave GOD because they canNOT understand why ______ happened in life.
What none of them seem to realize is without GOD, they are also WithOUT LOVE! Only people that DO Believe in GOD can feel any LOVE at all!

I think you all are wrong. God is real, he is there. This is deeper than religion. It is hard to explain, but my family has gone several generations believing in God and Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit and Angels. Trust me, I have had some experiences worthy of noting as well.

It is human nature to give up and blame or get angry at God for what is happening to us. People walk away thinking that God is against them. That is not the case - God gives us all trials and pains. It is up to us to pray for strength to get through it. Not everytime we have a trial and pray to God will He resolve it quickly - sometimes it can take years and setbacks can occur along the way. Our walk to the Kingdom is not easy, as God has stated many times in the Bible that the faithful will suffer much in their lives. This builds our character and strengthens us. Those that endure all the suffering and keep the faith will get greater rewards in the kingdom. I have a friend who is suffering in a bitter divorce and there are so many setbacks, every time there is a setback she turns away from God. I keep telling her to keep praying, but she gets into a depressed state for a while. She eventually does come back, but she needs to stay on the path, not leave. Again it is just her nature - she hides away from everyone when things go wrong. We do need to keep turning to God - He causes things to happen and he can fix it - we just need to keep the faith.

Atheists Are 0.07% of the Federal Prison Population. A Threatening Fact for Christian Fundamentalists
It's a big disruption to the Christian right argument that you need a belief in God to live morally.

You dont just give it up.
It happens over time.
You start to see past the lie and bull that is god. That is religion. You see that it doesnt help to believe. You see that being a good person is more then some pages in a book. You see life from a perspective that the theists can not and never will because they are blinded by the garbage fed to them at church.

Well, when you realise that there is no evidence that God exists it's easy to "lose faith".
If, after reading the OT, you feel the need to have that God "in your life" then I would advise you to re-evaluate your "connection" to it.

Nobody "needs" faith in fictional characters.

The only thing I could call God is eternal energy, the universe, and it doesn't need proving to me, it exists. Whether it has it's own consciousness or any sort of power or force that it can think or do things with without living creatures and their brains, I'm very doubtful, and I've never been able to fully believe in that, let alone that the bible was written by God and not men. It's dumb, it really is.

That happens, when people realize that gods exist only in stories and that the stories about the christian god are just as made up as all the other stories about all the other gods.
And no, nobody actually needs god.
