    What is given is the sample mean. 50 is the sample size.

    Estimate of the population mean = sample mean = 75

    standard error = standard deviation / sqrt( sample size) = 6/sqrt(50) = 0.8485

    mean = population mean =75

    standard error = population standard deviation / sqrt(N) = 6/sqrt(50) = 6/ sqrt(25)*sqrt(2)

    where N = sample size

    standard error = (6/5)*( 1/sqrt(2) )= 6*sqrt(2)/ 5*2 = 3*sqrt(2)/5

    standard error = 3*sqrt(2) / 5 = approx. 0.848528137

    standard error = exactly 3*sqrt(2) /5

    standard error = approx. 0.848528137
