You need The Word of God to survive, so why don't people believe?

It is mentioned several times in The Holy Bible. So why don't people believe?

    As it's already been said, the fact the bible says that the bible is true isn't anything worthy of mention, and this site must be flooded with this nonsense by now, they're going to have to delete all these questions someday.

    Says who? The Bible, which claims to be the word of god? So, how do you explain all the old atheists, agnostics, Buddhists . . . .
