The Bible teaches us a lot about heaven that can help us understand its purpose and what people will do there.

For starters, we know that God's Kingdom actually rules from Heaven, where it's kind , Jesus dwells. You will remember learning that he was put to death on a torture stake, and then he was resurrected. Shortly thereafter, he ascended to heaven. (Acts 2:33) Hence, that is where God’s Kingdom is—in heaven. That is why the Bible calls it a “heavenly Kingdom.” (2 Timothy 4:18) Although God’s Kingdom is in heaven, it will rule over the earth.—Read Revelation 11:15.

Further, after describing a vision of many individuals spotted in heaven, the Apostle John himself tells us: “These are the ones who keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes. These were bought from among mankind as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.” (Revelation 14:1, 4) Yes, they are faithful followers of Jesus Christ specially chosen to rule in heaven with him. After being raised out of death to heavenly life, “they are to rule as kings over the earth” along with Jesus. (Revelation 5:10)

Jesus told his apostles that they would be kings. They will rule over the earth.—Read Luke 22:28-30; Revelation 5:10.

Do all good people go to heaven?

In most lands, only a few people are rulers. Since Jesus resurrects people to heavenly life so that they can rule over the earth, we would expect those chosen to be few. (Luke 12:32) The Bible says exactly how many will rule with Jesus.—Read Revelation 14:1.

Those going to heaven will not be the only ones rewarded. Faithful subjects of Jesus’ Kingdom will enjoy life without end in a restored paradise on earth. (John 3:16) Some will enter Paradise by surviving the destruction of the present wicked system of things. Others will enter by resurrection.—Read Psalm 37:29; John 5:28, 29.

I don't think people who are still living are qualified to answer that question unless they are so unique they experienced heaven before dying but think of it this way:

If you experience pleasure - when you go on vacation - when you eat a fancy meal - when you have sex - when you hold a new born baby in your arms - when you see little children playing with their toys - when you help old ladies cross the street - when you comfort somebody who is in distress - when you look at extraordinary works of creativity or genius - when you listen to your favourite musician

Don't you think the one who created your capacity for pleasure - is capable of creating even greater pleasure for you in heaven?

It's going to be great. It will be beyond our wildest dreams.

Just ask someone who has been there.

Paul starts out his narrative by saying "I know a man in Christ who was caught up to the third heaven." Out of humility he starts out writing in the third person, but then we learn it was him. He was taken up into the third heaven, and saw things he was not allowed to utter. He saw the secrets of heaven, and how great it is, and he was completely BLOWN AWAY.

In fact, he was so elated, he was unable to wipe the smile off his face. He was just giddy about heaven.

Well, when people walk around with a constant GRIN on their faces, they just look stupid. So God allowed a "thorn in the flesh" to bother him, so he would stop grinning. We do not know what this "thorn in the flesh" was, but he prayed three times for God to remove it, and God said NO.

Just based on the idea that whatever Paul saw in heaven caused him to be so elated, we have to conclude heaven is going to be FANTASTIC.

    = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

"I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows. And I know that this man was caught up into Paradise—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter. On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses. Though if I wish to boast, I shall not be a fool, for I shall be speaking the truth. But I refrain from it, so that no one may think more of me than he sees in me or hears from me. And to keep me from being too elated by the abundance of revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to harass me, to keep me from being too elated. Three times I besought the Lord about this, that it should leave me; but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Corinthians 12)

Your answer is found in Revelation 5:9, 10.

And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, for you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought people for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and you made them to be a kingdom+ and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”
