Analise

I visited a friend this afternoon and found her sitting at the computer laughing. She showed me a couple of emails from yahoo.com. They said that 5 of her answers from this forum had been reported and deleted. I read the question and her answers. The answers were logical and scriptural. Could it be that someone is being vendictive because these answers showed that her religious beliefs were unscriptural and her attitude was terrible?

1st Baptist Church

A hellfire screaming preacher and nobody seemed to notice that I was there. I was told there was to be a rummage sale and dinner, for which there was an entry fee, the next Saturday.

I attended. Again, most didn't notice I was there. There were alcoholic beverages served, and a couple of men got pretty drunk.

The Bible was not mentioned. Some of the drunk men did mention the name of Jesus, though.

I chose to attend the 1st Methodist Church rather than the United Methodist Church because if they were united then there would not be a 1st Methodist Church.

The sermon was political and bland. A few people greeted me, but did not try to make conversation.

There were several social clubs listed on the wall at the entrance and the dates of their activities. There was one rummage sale mentioned that I attended. Nobody took any interest in me. Nothing spiritual was discussed.

Central Pentecostal Tabernacle

This was entertaining to say the least. A lot of hooping and hollowering. I did not try to do any socializing here.

Jewish Synagogue

I had to make arrangements in advance to attend and was told to wear a dress with skirt below the knee and high neckline. No electric equiptment was allowed. (cell phone, tablet)

Men and women sit on opposite sides of the sanctuary.The whole service was in Hebrew. Then there was a small reception The people were very friendly. Then there was a Bible discourse. The rabbi was a woman. Not a scriptural teaching!!!

They are quit long. I have tried to put it here but cannot include all. How do I do it?

Nowhere in the Bible is there any command to celebrate these days.
