Why do professed Christians worship the creation, Jesus, rather than the creator?

Update:

Colossians 1:15 says:

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation" , and

Revelation 3:14 states: “To the angel of the congregation in Laodicea write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God"

Both scriptures show that Jesus was created.

He was God's masterworker. By means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible. Proverbs 8:22-31

Because it leaves them with no accountability! If they would actually worship the Almighty God Jehovah (as he is called in English) and really follow the example of His Son Christ Jesus (as he is called in English) they would need to abandon their worldly customs and ways. (I ad the remarks in the parenthesis as there are people on here who have a problem with the J, interestingly they don't have that problem with all of the other Hebrew J names in the Bible hmmm).

Jesus prayed to His heavenly Father before His impalement...

(Mark 14:36) And he said: “Abba, FATHER, all things are possible for YOU; remove this cup from me. Yet, NOT what I WANT, but what YOU WANT.”

He certainly was NOT praying to Himself but they continue to ignore that and twist the scriptures!

When Jesus got baptized this is what happened.......

(Matthew 3:17) Look! Also, a voice from the heavens said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”

It certainly was NOT Jesus talking there!!! People know that Jehovah is the father of our Lord but again, ignoring it is more convenient for them.

(2 Corinthians 1:3) "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,"

Yes, the scriptures make clear that Jesus has a God and Father, and he is Almighty God JEHOVAH. Thank you for asking and have a great day :)

Because they really don't understand the true meaning of Matthew 19:4-6. The venerating and rendering of “sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created” was against all reason. Those following such an empty-headed course would thereafter deviate into other unrighteous practices, such as homosexuality, changing “the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature.” Again, even though no specific law had been given, such practice was obviously contrary to the way of God the Creator, as the very structure of the male and female manifested. Man, having been originally made in God’s image, had intelligence sufficient to see these things. Hence, he was responsible before God if he went contrary to God’s way; he was sinning, ‘missing the mark,’ even without a specifically stated law to charge him with guilt.

"And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: 'The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation. Rev. 3:14

And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. Rev. 21:6

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Rev. 22:13

John uses the same word in all of these - arche. It means origin, source, ruler, etc. Rev. 3:14 does not say Jesus is created, unless you also believe God, in general, the Alpha and Omega, beginning and end, is also a creature. All Rev. 3:14 says is that Jesus is the origin of God's creation, which fully reconciles with scripture, like Col. 1:15-17; John 1:1-3; Heb. 1:10-12, etc.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For in (en) him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in (en) him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. Col. 1:15-18

This also does not say Jesus is created. It says He is the firstborn - twice. Firstborn is being used as preeminent. Just like David wasn't firstborn but was firstborn - preeminent. Just like Jacob wasn't firstborn but was firstborn - preeminent. The Greek word for "first created" is **never** used for Jesus.

Romans 11:33-36 confirms Col. 1:16-17, specifically verse 36.

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! ..... For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

Proverbs 8:22 - Wisdom God possessed - not Jesus. It "sounds" like Jesus. Just like Rev. 6:2 "sounds" like Jesus. Just like Rev. 12:5 "sounds" like Jesus. But if you actually pay attention, use a little common sense and NOT take things out of context like your verses here, you begin to understand that none of these "are" Jesus. Rev. 12:5, for instance, sounds just like Jesus - except Jesus was born about 100 years before this was written and He was not caught up (harpazo) to the throne to avoid the devil. This verse refers to Rev. 2:26, 27 - the harpazo, the catching away, the rapture of believers in the end times, who are given the authority to rule with a rod of iron. Lots of things "sound" like Jesus but are NOT.

    Oh- and John 1:1-2

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

...is also verified like Colossians and Romans above.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life-the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you THE ETERNAL LIFE WHICH WAS WITH THE FATHER and was made manifest to us. First John 1:1-2

Professed Christians worship God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Your question is a fallacy since Jesus was never created. "In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word (Jesus) was with God and the Word (Jesus) was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him and without him has nothing come into being that has come into being."

Jesus created. He was not created.

The Bible plainly says that Jesus is God Himself.

There are three personalities in One God(Father, Spirit, Son), each serving specific purpose.

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

John 8:58 - Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

The Bible says, “No one who denies the Son has the Father, whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also” (1 John 2:23) If you do not believe in Jesus, you do not know God either.

    God is a tri-une God.

GodHead = God -The Father, God-The Son, God-The Spirit

Father, Spirit and Son are not three Gods. They are 3 personalities of One God.

If you know Jesus, you know God and have also got the Holy Spirit with you. If you have denied Jesus, you still do not know God.

We cannot go to God-The Father directly without Jesus, as we are sinners. We can go to His presence only through the lamb of God - Jesus, who paid for our sins.

The answer is found in the Bible.

    2 Corinthians 4:3, 4

If, in fact, the good news we declare is veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

Take heart! Thousands each year are breaking free from the blinding of Satan's religious system of things and coming to an accurate knowledge of who Jesus really is and the part he has in God's arrangement of things.
