Do you think this is funny?

I visited a friend this afternoon and found her sitting at the computer laughing. She showed me a couple of emails from yahoo.com. They said that 5 of her answers from this forum had been reported and deleted. I read the question and her answers. The answers were logical and scriptural. Could it be that someone is being vendictive because these answers showed that her religious beliefs were unscriptural and her attitude was terrible?

No, I don't think that is funny.

I lost a Level Seven account I had for more than a decade because people reported my answers. Not because my posts were violations but because people can report whatever they want and Yahoo allows it thinking "If it was reported, it must be a violation."

Yeah, when somebody does that to me, I think it's funny.

Best to have a sense of humor on Y!A.

    Funny, yes

    Sad, yes

Some people who have had their answers or questions deleted act as if the world is coming to an end.

In regards to the answers I've had deleted, I've won some of my deletions and lost some. Life goes on.

I've even had one of my awarded 'best answer' deleted. Life goes on.

What amazes me, is some start blindly accusing specific groups of targeting their answers, as if they know for certainty 'it had to be one of them who is doing it.'

When in fact, no one can know who actually did it.

Very rarely will someones actual beliefs be changed by an answer they have read here. Most (including me) believe we have the truth and wanting to share, and not be converted.

Being deleted on Yahoo Answers is a fact of life, and life goes on.

Same thing seems to be happening to others, rational and logical answers are being reported and deleted.

I think your story is a little "funny", but it's a fact that some members target others and report them unjustly. I've recently had posts with no violation in them reported. It's happened before; a 'certain group' doesn't like seeing the truth posted. I fought it then and won, and I'm fighting it now.

Possibly. I had one reported just yesterday and all I said was that there were a lot of false converts in Christianity

    No. Seems fair.

There seems to be an epidemic of malicious reporting. This week I was reported for answering a Yes/No question with a one word answer, 'Yes'

Sometimes, someone here takes a liking (and I use that word sarcastically) to a user and starts reporting everything they post. That's a big reason to keep your questions and answers private. Sometimes they'll just go through your feed and report every single one.
