What is the true religion? I went to find out.
This is what I experienced:?

1st Baptist Church
A hellfire screaming preacher and nobody seemed to notice that I was there. I was told there was to be a rummage sale and dinner, for which there was an entry fee, the next Saturday.
I attended. Again, most didn't notice I was there. There were alcoholic beverages served, and a couple of men got pretty drunk.
The Bible was not mentioned. Some of the drunk men did mention the name of Jesus, though.
I chose to attend the 1st Methodist Church rather than the United Methodist Church because if they were united then there would not be a 1st Methodist Church.
The sermon was political and bland. A few people greeted me, but did not try to make conversation.
There were several social clubs listed on the wall at the entrance and the dates of their activities. There was one rummage sale mentioned that I attended. Nobody took any  interest in me. Nothing spiritual was discussed.
Central Pentecostal Tabernacle
This was entertaining to say the least. A lot of hooping and hollowering. I did not try to do any socializing here.
Jewish Synagogue
I had to make arrangements in advance to attend and was told to wear a dress with skirt below the knee and high neckline. No electric equiptment was allowed. (cell phone, tablet)
Men and women sit on opposite sides of the sanctuary.The whole service was in Hebrew. Then there was a small reception  The people were very friendly. Then there was a Bible discourse. The rabbi was a woman. Not a scriptural teaching!!!

Jesus said in the Bible that you'd be able to tell what the true religion was by its 'fruits', or the results they produced. (Matthew 7:15-20) Here's a few things to look for according to the scriptures:

1. Does the religion promote loving Jehovah with full heart, soul, mind and strength? (Matthew 22:37)
2. Does the religion promote love of humanity? (Matthew 22:38)
3. Do they show love toward their fellow parishioners? (John 13:35)
4. Do they put the interests of God's Kingdom first in their lives? (Matthew 6:33)
5. Do they preach and teach others the Bible, encouraging them to become disciples? (Matthew 28:19 & 20)
6. Do they meet together regularly, encouraging each other to stick to God's organization and do things pleasing to Him? (Hebrews 10:24 & 25)

If they meet those requirements, you've found the true religion.

Yes the Baptist do have some quirks but now I'll have to give them credit where credit is due they do support Ministry by sending out missionaries and helping people with their physical needs as far as their Bible Doctrine it is a little bit weak and I do have to admit that

Surely it is pretty dumb to seek and go to men to find God?

Why do you not seek Him for yourself? Why do you allow men to lead you by the nose?

Is it because God commands all, everywhere to repent and you are not willing?

Or are you foolish enough to let men deceive you and control you?

God has given you His word, then seek Him through His word.

This is not rocket science.
