"The aggressor" suggests you think there's only one aggressor in an armed conflict.

The United States invaded France on June 6, 1944. Was the US the aggressor?

Yeah, I can think of countless tyrants, despots and psychopaths that would agree with you.

And literally hundreds of millions of free people who would not.

The USA only invades terrorist countries.

How exactly does that work?

I'd be happy to never hear about another country again, and leave you all alone to tear each other apart. But, inevitably, you show up on our doorstep, either asking for help or attacking us. How about your country and all other other countries make a real effort to leave us alone and just murder each other out of existence? That would be great!

The US is the aggressor. We are the ones sending troops into foreign lands and killing their people.
