I recently discovered that my husband sits when peeing instead of standing. If you're a man, do you sit or stand when urinating and why?

Most men stand when peeing. It is just more convenient. There is no rule as such that says a man must stand when peeing. It happens to his choice to sit. So what?

Sometimes to avoid arguments with the wife, it is just easier to sit. Less complicated, less mess, less fights. If a man lives alone, he does what he wants. Marriage ruins so many things!

I sit.. but then again I do have problems standing

His mother probably taught him to sit down peeing when he was young. Personally i stand

It is not feminine to sit down while peeing, it is being clean and hygienic and less noisy.

If you live in an apartment complex or a small house, there is nothing more disgusting then hearing noises made by other people in the bathroom.

I live in downstairs apartment and sometimes when I hear my neighbour peeing so loud or taking a dumb, I get so

grossed that I contemplate moving out.

Iv always stood too pee, its not really possible to sit and pee in urinal anyway.. your hubby might be self concious about his penis being on view so sits in a cubical so that its not seen.

Maybe he is gay i started sitting after that bc one i hate cleaning bathroom and two when horny it is easer to sit and have it stay in the seat area. P.s most gays sit!!!!!

Depends on when -- of course guys pee on the toilet when going #2, to stand to pee then would be silly (but surprisingly a few guys do that, thinking it is "being like a girl" to pee sitting down. If I get up in the night to pee, I always sit down. Don't have to aim and half asleep so can just sit down and close my eyes while doing it. Same following sex, since residual semen and post-ejaculatory leakage can make a guy's stream go all over the place.

I stand, because it's easier and I don't have to lower my pants.

there could be many reasons for this, but my guess is he is either very lazy, or he has to do both so he sits. maybe look at his mom? how was he taught as a child, maybe he has no aim and s just being considerate? good luck!
