Can anyone answer my bridal shower question?

Wow, you are the groom's mom and you have never been to a bridal shower? I just think of all the money you have not spent on what I have in bridal shower gifts!! Yikes.

As a guest at a bridal shower, it is much like a birthday party. The bride opens gifts while someone jots down the giver and the gift so thank you cards can be sent. The guests drink beverages and snack on food while engaging in small talk.

Your job is much like every other guest, bring a gift for either the bride or something the bride and groom can enjoy. Usually there is a gift registry to choose a gift from.

You just sit pretty and oooh and awwww at the gifts as they are opened and enjoy the company of others.

It is easy to be a guest at a bridal shower, regardless of who you are to the bride. Just tell yourself you will enjoy it and you surely will.

Take a gift for the bride. Expect to watch her open gifts. Expect to eat some cake, drink some tea, coffee, punch and maybe play some silly games.
