Why dont Native Americans get the attention and rights they deserve?

Even as a non-Muslim I would agree.

I would advise ALL NATIVE AMERICAN groups, nations, family bands, whatever the call themselves to gather together and set up a joint government with a givernor, congress, and constitution along the lines of any other state, and deliberatly apply for Statehood as allowed by the Northewest Territories Act- the federal law which specifies how an area can becone a state. There is nothing in the act that says state boundaries must be contiguous. On top of which, many 'Indian and Indian governed lands are considered federal land ant not part of the land or territory of any state.

There is one reason on why Native Americans don't get the thanks they really and truly deserve, is because we have taken anything from them, like this massive continent we call the United States. Very Shameful of us.

I think it's more productive to join the nation you live in than try to divide it.

They really do deserve more attention and rights.

We gave American Indians casinos so with the billions of dollars that they are raking in each year that makes us even. We don't owe Indians anything.

I got as far as "they went from living peaceful lives". Wrong. Like most Stone Age tribes, Injuns were at war with one another constantly.
