Sexual harassment complaints. I seem to read about it more and more. Can women be holding all the cards?

Let's start with Sonny D. a good looking well built successful 35 year old that women find to be a tasty piece of eye candy. Ladies in the building have all noticed him, but, he comes up to you a few of times and asks: Hey sexy, can I have you for lunch?

Now in the same $ category, let's take Elmer F., an overweight, balding, middle aged man (35) with inadequate personal hygiene and a wondering eye that gives girls the creeps. Then in the same tone and manner he asks you the exact same question. I guess what I want to know, does Sonny D.= Sex, and Elmer F. become Sexual harassment?

Sure, a woman is more open to an attractive man that a man she considers a dud. Same goes for men regarding women. People like attention from people they find attractive and don't like attention from people they don't. And I think an attractive man would have more class than to walk up to a woman with "Hey Sexy can I have you for lunch?" That sounds idiotic.

If any man said to me, "Hey, sexy, can I have you for lunch?" he'd immediately become less attractive regardless of what I originally thought of him.

Is it so hard just to have a normal conversation?

    No.

Burden of proof is on the accuser and innocent until proven guilty.

You can't even say..." you're looking good" any more, without a flipping feminist having a hissy-fit.

It has nothing to do with looks. Whether it's Elmer or sonny, if the recipient of their unwanted & unrecriprocated advances tells them to stop and they ignore it and continue - that's harassment. It's so easy, that most adults are quite capable of not harassing anyone ever.

Women hold all the cards, make no mistake. Me, the White male, is guilty to be proven innocent. Had charges leveled against me numerous times. Beat them all becasue they were baseless, just some one using the system to their advantage. One of my best coworkers is female, and SHE had charges brought against her, by another female. She won as well, but not without a serious fight.

Same thing with racial matters, Beat them too, same reason. Now the White guys I discipline have none of that available, so they just took a swing at me.

Now, all that being said, sexual, and racial issues ARE real, they are there, but the abuse of the system makes it harder to got them prosecuted. I have blown in other supervisors, who in my objective mind have clearly crossed the line in these matters.

But regardless of the reality of some complaints, the system is ripe for abusing. That is a fact. And it hurts those who suffer actual abuse.

That isn't how it goes. First, the person must go to their supervisor and explain the situation. The company is obligated to look into the matter. If that doesn't happen the company opens themselves up to huge lawsuits, especially if the person made a complaint and nothing was investigated.

Let's start with locking you up in an asylum for the criminally insane. OK? Let's start with that. And let's end with that, too.

they are both sexual harassment. whether the woman decides to take action is up to her. Didn't Uber teach you that some HR depts are just a joke in terms of handling sexual harassment?
