I'm not in school, and this is not a question to get someone to do my homework for me! I'm seeking understanding about the English and Scots?

I have met a couple of English people who seem to have no issue with the Scottish people in the 21st century, yet I have met Scotsmen who are not happy at all with the Engilsh...laws, ways or rule. I realize there was lots of oppositional history, long before we were born, but wondered what it was to make the chasm continue into 2017. thanks for your thoughtful reply.

What you have to remember is that you're talking about 'a couple' of people.

Almost all English and Scots people have absolutely no argument with each other and we get along just fine.

So far, I am seeing that few know more about history than I do! Had hoped someone in the studies might see this and have a functional, factual reply to my query.

    53,000,000 in England

    Population Scotland about 5,300,000

Scotland has been an occupied country for hundreds of years. Some are used to it . Others would like to be an Independent country.

You meet 2 English so what. They are the occupiers. Long History of Conquering other lands. Maybe you have heard of some of them. Many in North America.

Those making the rules like it. Those that have to follow them not so much.
