Can I check for warrants on someone in illinois?
Had a issue with a guy about a truck I bought and him not wanting to help me title it. Called sheriff s where vehicle was purchased, filed warrant against the guy. They told me it might be a month, but the suspense is driving me crazy. I have tried to look for a way to check but haven t found anything. Figured I d ask here

Cal the sheriff office or courthouse in that Illinois county.
But they might not extradite man back to Kentucky. As only felonies in most cases do an extradition will occur.

That is a civil matter, the sheriff can not issue a warrant only a judge can do that, you would have to sue him in civil court in the city where you bought the vehicle.
The police will not get involved in this unless you can prove fraud, and you would have to testify for that to happen and present the facts that you have, but the statement that the sheriff will issue a warrant is totally wrong
