Can walking help during pregnancy?

No matter how much pain I'm in or how hot I get in the third trimester I've been walking once a day for 20-30 mins no matter what I eat I'm still burning calories? & trying to stay active right?

Walking is a great exercise for pregnant women. It's safe to do right up to delivery (unless a doctor tells you otherwise) and promotes cardiovascular health. Some benefits:

-Increased blood flow throughout the body

-Increased muscle tone (making other activities easier because you are expending less energy)

    -Better sleep

    -Strengthens abdominal muscles

    -Increases endurance

-Women who are in better shape tend to have easier labors

-Can make it easier to lose the weight after baby comes

Remember not to overdo it and stay well hydrated.
