The UK does whatever the US wants, and in return the US pretends to occasionally listen some of the time without complete contempt.

A US president says, 'speak, boy!' and a British Prime Monster replies 'woof.' Has been at least since the beginning of WWII, and, I would argue, since the end of WWI. Time to bring it to an end.

We've had disagreements in the past. We have them now. They've been minor ones though. We're proud to have them as friends and allies.

That is pretty much it. They are both members of NATO, which is bound by the North Atlantic Treaty. Article 5 of this treaty says that an attack on one member is an attack on all members. God bless you. And don't be sad or angry about what's happening, because God has a loving plan for you. (Jeremiah 29:11)

There is a kinship that dates back since the formation of the united states and it's plucky little colonies. Being a territory of the once great british empire, americans relied on british supply ships and military might to protect them from the natives and french. The greatest east coast cities were formed by british colonists and loyalists. Since their little skirmish there has been a natural alliance, as all of the values the american people hold dear are also held in high regard in england. Thus over the years there has been a ''special'' friendship between the two. They have fought countless wars at each others side and lost sons and brothers at each others side. You could say that England is the mother of America and Canada, that is why there is such a familial closeness between both.
