Hello! I just wanted to get opinions on if my job is in danger of closing?
I work at a candy store in the mall and it hasn't been doing so hot. My bosses who I rarely get to see just closed down two other stores in other malls and I'm afraid ours will be next.
Lack of communication is a main factor whenever I try to email my bosses about how customers are complaining we haven't had a shipment in months..the store looks so sad..
We've been open for as long as I can remember and that's well over 13 years..but I'm just wondering if we'll still be open? I know a lot of customers will be sad to see us go..

Run the numbers. Do some research to estimate how much the rent is. Figure out how much employees cost. Figure out how much of a profit is being made per item sold.....are you bringing in more money than it costs.
Malls are dieing across the country. A few of the big stores will keep things alive, but rent is going up.
It's hard to tell..losing the complaining customers might be more profitable than keeping them.

If they're not shipping you product to sell, that's a pretty bad sign. Figure that your store is on the list to close at some point.

Yes but so is everywhere, very big companies close. Worry about it when it happens, go around worrying about what could happen but hasn't happened is just going to ruin your day, and then if it doesn't happen you were worrying about nothing.
