Why do you think we so often generalize a group of people?

Mental laziness. It's easier to say "Mexicans are _____" and "Jews do X and Y" than to actively think.

There's usually a grain of truth to stereotypes, which gives them staying power. If you say liberals are hypocrites, it's not hard to find one who fits the bill. If you say Trump's Tools are racists, it's similarly easy to find an example.

Yes. FYI, lying and hypocrisy is not solely a liberal trait. And while all Trump supporters are not "racists" or "Nazis", all the racists and Nazis seem to support Trump.

Because it is easier to demonize groups than individuals. We, as a species, has always done so with those who hold different views than we do.

People often generalize since they do not understand or they just want to attack others that do not agree with them. And of course, that is a generalization also - so we are all guilty from time to time of that bad act.

Except with Putin's support, seeing as he was the head of the KGB for so long, Trump's supporters are communist racist nazis. This is how trump brings people together.

Because most asshats don't like to look at the big picture. They're sheep and can't think for them selves. The ones you mostly see are the sheep, but there are many out there that don't think like that. Also thanks for calling out both sides.
