Will this help my arms get smaller ?

I do cardio most days. I try to do it every day. I usually do it in the morning when I fast walk. I'm heavy. 210 pounds at the moment. I was wondering if doing exercises with weights will help my arms get smaller? I do them later on in the day. I use 5 lbs weights and I definitely feel something but will I see anything ?

Doing exercises with a certain part of the body doesn't lose fat off that part. You cannot control where the fat comes off.

yes, it will but depending on where your "fat" is located it will take time to see this. Try 5lbs weights (I am not sure that's the spelling) to start with then (say a few months) then farther you go increase them. to say 10lbs.....remember your body didn't get like this over night and it won't reverse over night. another thing you might want to do is cardio one day, and wieghts sets then next, back and forth......change up what you do so your body doesn't get use to it (that doesn't work after awhile-so i am told). Another thing, I don't know what you "eat" but try to lessen the "food" size (not necessarily what you eat, just less of it) That's what I did and I lost weight (I am female-it's harder to lose weight then men). And that's a sneaky diet your brain doesn't know it. It's tricky the brain. (example, candy pieces, take a few out each time you eat this). See you still get to have it, so your brain doesn't know. I am now not eating sweets everyday like I was, I trick my brain into not "having" them to survive. I didn't need them all the time.
