have you notice over the last 30-40 years the church is leaning towards , a feel good gospel?

all you hear is GOD loves you. it draws people in. people want a feel good gospel without being good.you dont hear of hell or judgment anymore. i say just read revelation, about the wrath that is to come.GOD is love but he is also a GOD of justice.

Well, God is love and desires no one to perish.

BUT, I do see what you mean. It's preaching that tells people all the good and never deals with sin or the fact that the wrath of God is on you if you don't know the Gospel or what Jesus did freely.

Churches are getting to where they don't talk about sin. It would turn people away when they really have to look at themselves and actually do something about it.

I always say that I desire to be like Christ in all things. Sure, He was compassionate and loving, and this is what is preached. But He also called people names and pointed out who they really are. There was a balance and He stood on truth. He commends believers who do that - Rev. 2:1-3

Churches tend to preach the "nice, suffering servant" side of Christ. They don't preach the God and King "coming in wrath on a godless world" side of Him.

I'm old enough to have seen the start of this slow move to a corrupt gospel (because its only a partial gospel that has taken away from the bible gospel message)

Mind you, its only in some areas of Christianity that you will find this corruption. And don't forget either that false (corrupted) gospels were starting to infiltrate the church by the end of the first century! The bible warns us what to look out for, and money-seeking is a Big Beware Sign!

Yes, and more so the "prosperity" gospel-- that being a good christian goes hand in hand with making more money. Most of the megachurches are prosperity promoters.

They will say God loves you and almost at the same they stick a knife in you and twist it. Don't hear of hell anymore ? Don't hold your breath.

Yes, the Church is pushing the idea that you only need to be a "good" person who does "good" things to get into Heaven, ignoring the need for belief and faith. I suppose the Church is trying not to be left behind as more people become more ego-driven and selfish. Liberalism says that everyone should be free to do as they please and they shouldn't be deterred by the consequences, so more and more people don't want to hear about sin and judging people's lifestyle has been un-PC for the last 20 odd years.
