Is there a word for people who quote Bible verses as if they have some real importance?

Update:

Do other religions quote their texts like automatons, too? Or just Christians?

    Yeah, losers.

They quote Bible verses, most of the time irrelevant to the issue, because that's all they have to fall back on. They don't realize that Bible verses prove nothing since they can't prove that God exists.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that any more than two of the authors of the books spoke with God and there were no witnesses for either one.

Some live by only the word.....Some live by Faith ....Some live within the Holy Ghost.....for God only really asked us to worship him and keep his Commandments......and those that quote Bible Verses to the letter and live only by the word has not been set free..... for the words have become a chain in their Heart and has create religions like Mormons for example.......you see this clearly within the Muslim religion.....for when one is set free the Bible becomes the living word we walk in and provides us with a long life.......for then the importance in quoting verses is showing the Blind a long life is yours if you want it and I would call them.....PREACHERS.....

We are called Christians. The reason we quote Bible verses is because...

😱 Get ready! Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

    Satanic Statement no7.

Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!
