Why do Christians always quote "the heart is deceitful above all things"?

You are saying that all those who disagree with you have a heart that is deceitful, how dumb of you not to see that.

Never heard ANYONE say this. Maybe you're just deceitful, and people are trying to tell you something.

Our flesh tells us to do things the brain knows better.

It is, that's why.

Although it sounds all noble to 'follow your heart', it is wiser to lead it.

Whatever you put your treasure into, you WILL end up loving..... and as a result you will be that thing's slave.

Prone to wander.... strong herding instincts.... easy prey for the enemy of your soul..... people are like sheep. And you have been baited and conned by Satan himself. He always copies God to deceive.... he mascuerades as an angel of light.

Evil seems beautiful, fool.... or else no one would ever want anything to do with it.

It is straight from the Bible. However, many use it to validate their evil actions.

I believe it means there is a lot of unconscious and subconscious transgression in the heart that human beings are not aware they are committing when they think or look at things.
