Strangers acting weirdly towards me?
Strangers staring at me and acting weird
Hi :) Im 14 and im name is Leah... This year Idk if its due to my social anxiety but a lot of strangers ( mostly male )are weird with me and stare at me. I dont think its because im pretty because im really not ( I have dark brown curly messy hair, green eyes, freckles, im a little pale and im really tall) but it does get weird and embarassing. Here are some examples
- A guy about 16 staring at me and smiling at me in line to pay for something
- A guy in class staring at me all the time and onced blinked at me
- A guy in school comming up to me saying " whatsup baby girl "
- A group of guys in school turning their heads while I was walking through the door
- A male server giving me free stuff at a restaurant and when I come he always picks our table ( even if another server is in charge,he tells him that will tak charge of my table )
- A female server being so nice to me while being rude to all the other customers
- A guy at school turning around in the hallways to stare at me ( only happened once )
- a total of 7 guys at school staring at me ( idk if in a good way )
Am I weird :( why is this happening ? its very uncomfortable for me

Your not weird I think your overthinking it I've gone through social anxiety so I know how you feel and while it may feel like everybody is staring at you because your weird it's more than likely nothing I mean whenever your out in public do you just never look at anyone ever and they see you doing it probably not right and it's not because you think they're weird it's just natural to want to see the people around you

Look. There is some truth when people say that you can only notice if someone is staring at you, if you are staring at them, so there is a pretty good chance they are thinking 'I wish she would stop staring at me'. You said you are suffering from anxiety, but it sounds like you are a bit paranoid as well. Just don't look at anyone while walking around or queueing for stuff, unless you have to.
