Acute prostatis..help?

So id say my prostate has been infected for a good 9-11 months , so i went to a doc he told me i had prostatis and perscibed be ciprofloxacin (antibiotic) and said i should take it every 12 hours with a good glass of water so i did that the first time at 7 pm then went to bed woke up and took it at 7 am then went on with my day then i took it at 7 pm again then after 10 minutes i felt like i needed to go to the bathroom and pee and i started peeing this white substance thats a little yellowish and it burned like hell and the white stuff came coming out i sat in the bathroom for a hour and 15 min after all that ended and i started to kinda pee normally again so i just wanna ask what was that and should i go to my doc?
